ACCA’s Diploma in IFRS

Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (DipIFR) is ideal for finance professionals who need to acquire a more detailed understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The training program is based on the syllabus of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Diploma in IFRS, which is a well-recognized and regarded qualification globally.

India has converged to IFRS and has issued its own IFRS equivalent accounting standards, referred to as Ind AS. We realize that it is critical for finance professionals to understand the accounting standards in the Ind-AS framework and the related practical application issues. Outcome

After successful completion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Understand and explain the structure of the framework of IFRS
  • prepare financial reports: as per requirements under Ind AS and IFRS
  • Understand complex financial reporting standards like financial instruments, consolidation, share-based payments, etc.
  • Understand the accounting and disclosure requirement for new standards: IFRS 15 - Revenue from Contracts with Customers and IFRS 16 - Leases
  • prepare group financial statements with subsidiaries, associates and joint arrangements

Eligibility

If you are a professional accountant or auditor who works in practice or business, and are qualified according to national accounting standards, then you are eligible to take this ACCA financial reporting qualification.

If you are a working professional, but not yet qualified, then you may still be eligible. You will need to prove that you have one of the following:

  • Three years’ of relevant accounting experience (duly filled, signed and stamped form by the employer)
  • A relevant degree, with two years’ of work experience
  • An ACCA certificate in International Financial Reporting, in addition to two- years’ of work experience
